Meet The Booksmart Founder: Jen Muccia

With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Jen Muccia has established herself as a trustworthy leader in the television industry. Her background in producing and talent booking has allowed her to have two successful careers simultaneously, making her not just a great booker or producer, but a combination of both.

Jen has worked with every major TV network and streaming platform, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBCU, Amazon, Disney+, Peacock, Hulu and Apple TV+, booking and producing shows from inception to completion but considers her reputation to be her greatest success to date.

With a portfolio of producing some of the biggest unscripted shows on TV, Jen has been a part of creating memorable moments on shows such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars, and World of Dance.

Jen also spent 3 years as a talent executive at NBCUniversal for the Entertainment Content Group, where she met with hundreds of celebrities and influencers in all genres including comedy, lifestyle, and music. She played a pivotal role in attaching celebrity hosts, contestants and mentors to various projects across all platforms including NBC, Peacock, E!, Bravo and syndication. Jen was instrumental in initiating lucrative strategic partnerships between NBCU and major music industry players.

Recent projects highlight her versatility and innovative approach to production. She produced Rihanna's Savage x Fenty V3 for Amazon — shot entirely at a downtown Los Angeles hotel across 3 overnight shoot days, Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special for Apple TV+ — shot entirely in VR — and a Pentatonix special for Disney+, utilizing XR technology. She also produced Graduate Together, the first virtual production of its kind at the start of the pandemic, collaborating with LeBron James and President Barack Obama.

Beyond her professional achievements, Jen is committed to using her expertise for causes she is passionate about. She has volunteered her time and expertise to produce events such as March For Our Lives, the Women’s March, and the Families Belong Together march.
